Hello, Post 4 family.

I hope everyone is having a great Summer, I can’t believe how fast it's flying by. The Rider chapter has been out riding and enjoying this time of year. It’s what we live for. Several of us Riders took part in the Michigan Legacy Run about a month ago. It was organized by our friends at Lapeer Post 16 this year, they did a wonderful job. You get a different prospective on this event once you've been thru the planning process. It was nice to be able to just ride and enjoy the comradery of the other Riders and enjoy the hospitality of the Posts we visited. What Post did we visit you may be asking? We visited the Post in Swartz Creek, Lansing, Hastings, Grand Rapids, Grand Haven, Hesperia, Ludington, Frankfort and finally Fife Lake. All worth visiting if you find yourself near anyone of them. A couple of our Riders had a chance here last week to ride in the escort ride for The Wall That Heals. The Wall is a scaled down version of The Vietnam Memorial in Washington DC. It travels this great country of ours bringing the Wall to those that can’t travel to D.C. The Riders thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the show of Patriotism they saw during this was a truly moving experience.

What’s on the horizon for the Riders? Coming up on July 30 is our 1st Annual Scooter McLaughlin Poker Run. We will honor our recently fallen brother and donate the proceeds of this event to the animal shelter that he volunteered and was passionate about. You don't need a motorcycle to come on this event. You can drive your car. Our stops will be Veteran Service Organizations in the area. There are several flyers at the Post or ask one of the Riders when you see them. We will also continue to seek out and ride in events that support other Posts and causes in the area, of which there are many.

Safe Travels and Thank you for the support we receive.
